More Tech Letting You Down

Pretty good piece by Washington Post on fitness tracking technology.

"The Global Heat Map, published by the GPS tracking company Strava, uses satellite information to map the locations and movements of subscribers to the company’s fitness service over a two-year period, by illuminating areas of activity."

Technology will eventually let you down.  Yet, now watch the technologists scramble to counteract this revelation.  Thinking only in terms of more high technology to beat high technology, as they do with digital data, they'll push updates, software, hardware, and anything to add to existing Fitbit and Jawbone systems.  They'll talk about privacy settings.  All the while, the solution is to not wear the equipment.
